Chief Agriculture Officer Manjit Singh said that the Punjab government has given time till June 25 to register the farmers on the portal for direct sowing of paddy.
He appealed to the farmers to contact the officials of the Agriculture Department to register their acreage on the portal to get the financial amount of Rs 1,500 per acre provided by the government for direct sowing.
Farmers can get their registration done at https://agrimachinerypb.com/, he said.
Manjit Singh said that the officials and employees of district-level and block-level offices of Moga will be available to do this work in the interest of farmers.
Farmers are being informed about this through village-level camps, newspapers and electronic media.
